Spiritual Growth Opportunities for Adults

Adult Forum:

The Adult Forum meets each Sunday at 9am-10am in the Church Lounge.  Most of the presenters are professors at our seminary in Philadelphia, with rich backgrounds in Old and New Testament subjects. A variety of topics from the Bible are offered along with current affairs effecting our church. Take advantage of an opportunity to learn and grow in faith in a welcoming environment. No specific knowledge of the Bible is necessary.

 Winter/Spring schedule:

 January – Dr. David Grafton, professor of Islamic Studies and Christian Muslim        

                                                 and North American Relations.

February – Dr. Bob Robinson, professor of Old Testament studies

March – Dr. Robin Mattison, professor of New Testament studies

April – Dr. Paul Rajashakur, Dean of Seminary

May- Dr. Erik Heen, professor of New Testament

Women’s Bible Study:

Meets on Wednesday mornings 9:30am-11:00am in the Church Lounge. The group is led by Pastor Dyan Lawlor. No prior knowledge of the Bible is necessary. Great fellowship and opportunity for Christian growth.

 Men’s Bible Study:

Meets on the 2^nd and 4^th Tuesday of the month in the Church Lounge. Led by Rev. Arvid Anderson and Deacon Fred Renigar. First series of the New Year will be, “The Bible Jesus Read.” All are welcome. No prior knowledge of the Bible is necessary.

 UDLC Book Group:

Meets on the 3^rd Monday of each month at 7:30pm in the Church Lounge. The group is led by Donna Johnson. A new book is read each month with group discussion. New members are always welcome. Membership in congregation is not necessary.

 Young Mom’s Group:

Meets on the 2^nd and 4^th Wednesday of the month at 9:30am to 11am. Babysitting is provided. New members are always welcome. Come join in wonderful discussions, great support and great ideas.
