My passion for music began as a child. I loved to sing and listen to music. I began studying music in grade school and continued studying from private professional teachers until I was married in 1982. I studied from teachers such as James Kahn, Joseph Richini. Both well known classical and jazz percussionist. In 1978 at the age of 18 I began my professional career with "Rich Gold and the Nuggets" playing Elvis cover tunes with Perry Wolfe. In 1980 I moved on and joined "Blue Pearl" with Lou Baldino and Mike Delconti. In 1982 Perry Wolfe and I began as a power duo named "The Harmonix" that continued until 1992 when we added Janice Katz and renamed ourselves "The Mix". In 1997 I dedicated my music solely to God with "For The Spirit". Our ministry started in 1995 when Pastor Douglass of Upper Dublin Lutheran Church asked me if I had an interest to form a band for his new contemporary worship services. There was a hesitation however. How was I going to play music on Friday and Saturday until 2:30AM and then wake up and play for the 7:45AM service on Sunday? Even more than that. How was I going to get Perry Wolfe out of bed on Sunday morning at 6 o'clock AM? Well with lots of prayer and hope God helped us make the right choices. (And also Perry got a loud alarm clock!) My music is a reflection of the talents that God has given to me. I use these talents to spread his word. I only hope that our music helps you make a connection to our lord and savior Jesus Christ. It sure does for me! |
