Kenya Orphans' Program
In 2007, 12 of our UDLC members and friends spent a week or three working in the Orphan’s program with Tracey and Jack Ambuka.

getinvolved3.jpg Jack and Tracey Ambuka led a group of Upper Dublin missionaries for a summer experience they’ll never forget. Jack is a native of Maseno, Kenya, and met Tracey Pollick one year on her missionary work. They married and Jack now attends the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia full-time.  They are the leaders of the projects at the orphan program in Jack’s village and surrounding regions. Tracey has written curriculum for the lessons of the day schools the orphans attend, and it has been widely recognized as a model for others to use.  Over 10,000 orphans are fed one daily meal, and given some education through this project of the Episcopal Church under the direction of two missionaries who live on site.

Currently, we sponsor three high school students with scholarships so they have a chance at advancement. We are still establishing and expanding our work with Kenya.
