Worship music at Upper Dublin Lutheran Church takes many forms, from our choral groups to soloists to instrumentalists.
The children's choirs (Grades K-7) sing in worship once each month on a rotating schedule, October to June, as well as in Christmas Eve worship. The epitome of our season is our annual dinner theatre in early June in which all of our children in the choirs participate. Pictured below is the cast of our 2011 musical, Life of the Party, the Story of Mary and Martha. See below for rehearsal schedule.

At the 3:00 PM Worship Service on Christmas Eve, 2011, "Calling All Angels", a Christmas musical drama by Helen Kemp, was presented by the children's choirs, and included two adults and two teenagers, in addition to the children.

The Chancel Choir welcomes everyone from 10th grade through adulthood and sings a variety of worship repertoire styles each Sunday at the 10:30 AM worship service as well as on Christmas Eve and during Holy Week. Please feel free to join us anytime. We rehearse on Sunday mornings at 9:00 AM.
The Youth Band, under the capable and talented direction of Andrew McMaster and Heather Schreiber, rehearses every other Sunday evening. All singers and instrumentalists in Grades 7-12 are welcome! Speak to Ray Hopkins, Youth Director, for more information.
Schola Soprani is a new group formed for teenage girls who have a soprano singing range. This group enhances worship through singing descants on hymns and soloing parts of the liturgy.

Shirley Keiter, Director of Music Ministries, holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education with a piano concentration from Temple University (1993) and a Master of Arts in Religion degree in Liturgy and Music from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia (2007). Church music is Shirley's passion, and she enjoys ministering and walking the road of discipleship with the people and staff of Upper Dublin Lutheran Church. Shirley is a lifetime member of the Association of Lutheran Church Musicians.
