Adult Programs Shine a Light on Life, Love & Learning

Faith is a lifelong journey. Our adult education offerings, small groups, activities, and retreats create space for learning, conversation, and connection as we explore faith together while building relationships.

All are welcome to participate!

UDLC Young Adults is a new group for folks in their 20s and 30s to regularly connect, build community, and grow in faith. We meet bi-monthly with a mix of social gatherings and bible studies, always with food and drinks to share! Stay tuned for our 2026 schedule and reach out to our Director of Faith Formation, Deborah Jodrey, at djodrey@udlc.com with any questions! Can't wait to meet you!

This introductory looks at the Bible provides overviews of various sections and books of the Bible. We incorporate the Godly Play lessons that children experience in Children’s Church.

  • Our annual Fall Women’s Retreat offers an opportunity to surround yourself in the beauty of nature at Bear Creek Camp in Wilkes Barre in October.  Enjoy a fun-filled, get-away weekend with a relaxed focus on the nature of our faith through devotions, discussions, worship, and activities to foster friendships with other women.

  • UDLC’s annual Fall Men’s Retreat is a laid-back, adventure-filled weekend at Bear Creek Camp in Wilkes-Barre each October. With time spent outdoors hiking, exploring, and unplugging, the retreat creates space for real conversation, deeper friendships, and honest engagement with faith through prayer, reflection, and Scripture—together in the fresh air.

  • All women of the congregation are also invited to gather for a themed, One-Day Women’s Retreat at the church.  This annual event is a combination of full-group sessions, small-group discussions and casual fellowship. Our retreat provides many opportunities to enjoy and build deeper connections with existing friendships while fostering new relationships.
