Make an Impact with Our Community Outreach Programs

Upper Dublin Lutheran Church is full of generous people dedicated to serving God by making the world a better place. Our members are committed to helping others and strengthening our community.

As 2025 comes to a close, we give thanks for the incredible generosity that has made such a difference in our congregation’s ministry of compassion and justice. Altogether, in 2025 we have given away over $40,000 to worthy charities and causes, which has powered our love and service our neighbors—an extraordinary witness of faith in action. Thank you!

Chosen 300

Group of people posing outdoors in front of a banner at a community walk event, with trees and a building in the background.

We provided: 2,000 meals, including 11,000 meatballs, 200 dozen brownies, 2,600 green bean servings, 2,300 mashed potato servings, 1,000 bread rolls and 900 volunteer hours each month! As winter approached, we collected hundreds of gloves for guests of Chosen 300.

We donated over 640 pounds of dry food, 139 pounds of home essentials, and 31 packs of diapers to Feast of Justice.

Beds For Kids

Group of seven people standing together outdoors in front of a large purple and green truck with text that reads, "Beds for Kids," participating in a charity event.

UDLC volunteers delivered over 70 beds for Beds for Kids, which expects to deliver a record-setting 3400 beds. Our members have also contributed 48 twin sheet sets, 28 blankets, 37 toothbrushes, numerous boxes of books, over 200 soft balls for young children and amassed 132 volunteer hours of support through laundry and deliveries!

Behind them are tables filled with various items, and a blue wall with large windows.

Annual Rummage Sale

This year’s Rummage Sale raised about $14,000, which was split equally between Norristown Hospitality Center and Liz’s Birthday Closet. This beloved event not only funds important local work but also strengthens our community through shared effort and generosity.

In addition, we extended gifts to several local organizations that were nominated but not chosen as rummage sale recipients. Each of these worthy causes received our support, including:

Amy’s Kisses Foundation

Eastern PA Trans Equity Project

For Pete’s Sake Cancer Respite Foundation

The Breathing Room Foundation

The Welcome Project PA

Our generosity also reached across the globe this year, supporting: ELCA Young Adults in Global Mission (YAGM) and Global Refuge’s Camino a Casa program. These gifts help empower young leaders in mission and provide safety and shelter for vulnerable families.
