Chosen 300 Volunteer Opportunities

The Second Saturday of Every Month

What is Chosen 300?

Chosen 300 is a Philadelphia-based ministry that serves neighbors experiencing hunger and homelessness with dignity, consistency, and compassion. Through daily meal programs, outreach, and supportive services, Chosen 300 offers both nourishment and human connection. Volunteers help prepare and serve meals, assist with hospitality, and be a welcoming presence—simple acts that make a real difference in people’s lives and strengthen our wider community.

Food Preparers

We need small groups to cook on the second Saturday of each month. The more groups we have, the less frequently each group works - usually only 3-4 times a year. Meet at church at 11:30am and heat up mashed potatoes, beans and gravy, as well as any meatballs that have not been picked up for people to cook at home. Then pack everything up into the coolers to be taken downtown. Your job ends by 2:45 when the volunteers arrive for Chosen 300. Questions? Contact Joan at jhgrahn@yahoo.com.

Meatballs need to be delivered hot between 12 and 2 on the serving Saturday. Questions? Contact Joan at jhgrahn@yahoo.com.
