Holy Week Services

Together, we walk with Jesus through love and betrayal, death and hope, grief and joy—gathering in worship to remember, reflect, and celebrate the promise of resurrection.

Maundy Thursday Dinner Church Service

Thursday, April 2nd at 7PM in Fellowship Hall

On Maundy Thursday, we remember Jesus’ last supper with his disciples—the night he shared a meal, washed his disciples’ feet in an act of servant love, and gave the commandment to “love one another as I have loved you.” At UDLC, we gather for Dinner Church, sharing a meal together as worship unfolds around the table. Through food, Scripture, prayer, and Holy Communion, we experience the depth of Jesus’ love and the gift of table fellowship that continues to shape the life of the church.

Good Friday Tenebrae Service

Friday April 3rd at 7PM in the Sanctuary

On Good Friday, we gather for a Tenebrae service—a service of shadows—marked by Scripture readings, hymns, and special music. As the service unfolds, light is gradually diminished, drawing us into a time of deep reflection on Jesus’ crucifixion and God’s profound act of love for the world. This is a solemn and moving service, inviting us to sit with grief, mystery, and the depth of grace revealed at the cross.

8:30AM Easter Sunday Service

In the Sanctuary

Our 8:30AM Easter Celebration Service offers a joyful and welcoming start to Easter morning in a more contemporary style of worship. Led by our band, For the Spirit, the service features uplifting music, meaningful prayer, and a message proclaiming the hope and new life we celebrate in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Whether you are a longtime member or visiting for the first time, you are warmly invited to join us as we celebrate the good news of Easter together. Holy Communion will be celebrated, and all who wish to receive are invited to come to the table.

The service follows the rich traditions of Lutheran worship while welcoming all who gather, whether longtime members or first-time guests. Holy Communion will be celebrated, and all who wish to receive are invited to come to the table.
